I remember taking about 350 PED of ammunition out with a PP-40 plasma pistol from Aris. It was an expensive, high-efficiency weapon, and I was enjoying the chance to hunt with it. The plan involved Ambulimax. The plan did not specify a place at the top of the Hall of Fame.
During that session I noticed Perception gains arriving frequently, sometimes every two or three creatures. They became part of the rhythm I remember from the hunt. I would not use those messages to predict a result, but they are one of the details that makes this particular outing distinct in my mind.
The one left in the corner
The Ambulimax that changed the evening was the last one left in the spawn, alone in a corner near the outpost on the plateau. There is something wonderfully ordinary about that detail. No special entrance, no ominous speech: simply one more Ambulimax that I had not finished dealing with.
Then came 6,141 PED. The board dates the Ambulimax Young event to 3 August 2026 at 22:19:10. I saved the picture on 4 August, with Totoian Toto Eleodor in first place. That final creature had made an excellent case against leaving early.
It was my second-largest hunting milestone after the Halloween Zombie. Number one refers to the changing Hall of Fame board I captured, rather than an all-time position, but it was more than enough to make me stop and enjoy the view.
What came after the screenshot
In the board picture I am holding an Exhumer Mk1. The PP-40 belongs to my memory of the hunt; by the time I photographed the ranking I had moved on to other things. Mining objectives are still visible beside the board, because apparently even a hunting celebration cannot persuade my mission list to take the evening off.
The result opened up several plans. I bought fifty Terra Amp 1 amplifiers from Alfadur and took them to Arkadia. It also helped make later progress on Cyrene possible as I continued using the same funds across different activities.
That is why I remember more than the ranking. An isolated creature on a plateau became the beginning of several further adventures: claims, mission rewards and equipment I wanted to earn. Sometimes the last creature really does deserve its own paragraph. This one got an entire chapter.
